Camden Report written by John Shirley
Lismore Circus Community Woods is an urban space in Gospel Oak, staffed by volunteers, which is where we come in. They can always do with some extra help and there were ten of us!
First we had to move a fallen tree. Then we set to work on the hedges, which were growing over footpaths and a cycle path, and were generally looking rather untidy. Fancying ourselves as skilled hairdressers, we thought about working on perms, wedges, buns, braids, and mullets, but in the end just made some nice fringes.
By the time we’d finished, the paths were free of overhanging and overgrown foliage, and the hedges were cut back to leave a proper edge to the path.
A special welcome to Victoria, who we’d previously met at Hampstead ParkRun, and was here for her first ever good deed! See you again soon Victoria.

Victoria Eze earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Victoria completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Victoria was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

Islington Report written by Simon Fitzmaurice
The team from Goodgym Islington took over the backroom of The Horatia N4 pub on Holloway Road to host a running kit swap event. The concept was conceived by The Green Runners, Rerun, Kitsquad and Preloved Sports, all amazing organisations formed to keep under-used sportswear out of landfill and in use for those who need it. We had a vast array for running shoes for road, trail, track and hiking available to try out (great for those who are looking for a spare pair for mucky Goodgym sessions, or looking to try a new discipline in running without paying a premium as a first timer). Plenty of sports wear was also available, from lightweight summer apparel to substantial base layers and coats for winter time. Thank you to all who participated, donated and took the time to try out some different kit!
Almost all of the donated and leftover kit will be shared equally with Preloved Sports and Kitsquad, unless offered to local runners and active people!
