Victoria earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Victoria completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Victoria was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

On Tuesday a bumper group of 14 runners braved the cold weather to help the Real Junk Food Project in their community cafe. Meeting at our usual spot we made the thankfully short run up to the cafe. At the cafe we met Doug who was attending his first Goodgym session! It was great to see such a big group and new faces despite the plummeting temperatures!
We were all grateful to get inside out of the cold and get started on the cleaning duties. We split up all the tasks across both floors which included hoovering, wiping, moping, sweeping, tidying and just about any cleaning job you can imagine! With so many of us we made light work of all the jobs and had plenty of time to have a catch up in amongst the cleaning. Alongside Doug we've had a new few new faces so it was nice to get to know everyone.
Afterwards a few of headed back to the start but most of us ran off into the night and back home to get warm! Hopefully next week will be a bit warmer so please sign up here: https://www.goodgym.org/v3/sessions/school-superstars

What a way to banish the January blues! On a wet and windy night we had a great turn out, including some new faces!
Welcome to Goodgym newbie Jack, new Brightonian Vicky and Goodgym tourist JC who will be in Brighton for the next few weeks. Thank you for joining us!
We set of through colourful Kemptown to The Brighton Community Workshop where we were greeted by Garry. The Workshop has recently acquired the Kemptown location and are in the process of setting up a creative space, a place to learn and a Tool Library.
We doned gloves and hardcore cleaner to shine up a variety of tools such as drills, sanders and jigsaws as well as hand tools. Our resident hands on hero Jason managed to free a mallet from its worn handle.
Even through we were using a lot of elbow grease there was no let up with an arm workout to help propel us forward when sprinting to the finish line at Parkrun. To further work our arms, some Goodgymers headed to the local for some weight (a pint to be exact) lifting and quizing!
The rest of us tackled the wind and rain towards the centre and on home.
