goodgym members came together online to do some yoga.
Yoga talk
Yoga is well known for its infinite benefits. Whether they’re physical; improving strength, and flexibility, building a sweat, recovering from injuries, or more on a meditative level promoting calmness, stillness, and relaxation. Through the use of asana, you become more aware of your body and by incorporating breathing you create a moving meditation that brings awareness of your spiritual self. The strengths and flexibility that come from dedicated yoga practice will at one point translate into your everyday lives, changing the way you deal with problems and situations. By practicing yoga, you’ll learn discipline and challenge yourself on and off the mat without taking anything too seriously.

Vicky Messer earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Vicky completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Vicky was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

To be honest there wasn’t much walking for us GoodGymers at today’s task but there was a heck of a lot of it going on. Around 500 walkers took part in a 22 mile trek around Bath to raise money for Julian House - a charity working with homeless and vulnerable people and women facing domestic abuse.
It was our job to man the checkpoints - checking participants in, stamping their maps, cheering them on and presenting their well-earned medals at the finish. We also took photos and supplied dog biscuits as required.
Vicky earned a particular hurrah for getting up at the crack of dawn to do her stint.
But most of the praise should go to the fundraisers who had to tackle a punishing route in what must have been the worst weather since the event began 23 years ago. I imagine they went home wet, tired and sore but proud of their achievement.

Bath Report written by Meyrick Williams (He/Him)
It is a bright time for the GoodGymmers. Although the Death Star has been destroyed, Imperial troops have driven the Rebel forces from their hidden base and pursued them across the galaxy.
Evading the dreaded Imperial Starfleet, a group of freedom fighters led by Meyrick have established a new secret base on the remote ice world of The George at Bathampton.
The evil lord Darth Vader, obsessed with finding the young GoodGymmers - Aaron, Tanya, Emily and Vicky, has dispatched thousands of remote probes into the far reaches of space....
That being said, it was wonderfully successful ride on Sunday despite the unsettled weather. Starting at checkpoint 1, on the river opposite Lidl, zero GoodGymmers were picked up but many rebel forces were repelled. Checkpoint two was much the same, no GoodGymmers at this checkpoint but several AT-ATs were disabled before moving on to Checkpoint 3.
Here, at The George in Bathampton, the rest of the GoodGymmers gathered to embark on the rest of the journey. There was one complication to the plan, in that we were planning to meet General Helen at Bathampton Mill at one. However, Lieutent Emily was confident we could still do the Two Tunnels and rendezvous with our erstwhile leader at the appointed time.
X - Wing pilot Vicky suggested we make a detour after the tunnels to speed up our return journey, and with that agreed we had our plan!
It was a wonderful ride, great countryside, the odd puddle and the excitement of cycling high speed through the two tunnels to boot. We did make our engagement on time, and avoided all of those pesky remote probes send by Darth Vader - so the plan was a good one. Next time, Episode VI - The Return of the Cycles.

It's definitely summer now, after months of trying we've finally had some nice warm days and evenings to enjoy. This evening was no exception.
Five GoodGymmers arrived in the always beautiful Sydney Gardens to help clear away weeds form a really interesting area that the organisers would like to open up to the public. Cosmo, Stephen, Helen, Vicky and Meyrick were the team.
Did you know there were grottos under Sydney Gardens? Apparently back in 1794 a roof was built to enclose a natural reservoir at the top by the tennis courts. There are to gates blocking entry to this area, which as far as I'm concerned is a grotto, and the organisers want to clear the area to allow the public to view inside.
Weeding we are good at, and we made quick work of it. There will be a lot more to do to clear enough soil from the doorways in order to get to a place where the public can view through the doors into the mysteries of the grottos within, but this was a start.
Well done GoodGymmers, when this is complete we can say we helped with this.
