Tonight 7 GoodGymers ran up to Bedford Fields once again to transfer wheelbarrows full of soil from one part of the garden to another to create a large raised flower bed.
It was rather muddy after yet more rain but we don't mind getting a bit mucky at GoodGym Leeds!
It's also nice to know that in a couple of weeks, we'll no longer need our head torches on a Wednesday evening, which is always a good thing when you're doing outside work.
Good work tonight team!

Tonight 8 GoodGymers ran to Ash Road Residents Association in Headingley to help them garden a plot of land near Batcliffe woods. Half the group weeded & planted bulbs & the other half litter picked the local area. We were going to paint outdoor stones but it was a bit wet & Jane forgot to bring the them indoors so that they could stay dry, so we'll roll that into another session.
It was great to see such a big group on a Wednesday & to welcome Adam back.
Thanks to Jane from the residents association for being so organised with tools/pickers etc.
Good work team!

This morning 9 GoodGymers braved the bad weather to do Parkrun and a litterpick.
After joining the 795th Woodhouse Moor parkrun, we went for coffee and pastry at Coffee on the Crescent and then hit the streets for a 45 minute litter pick. The streets of Headingley were pretty bad litter wise so we got 8 full bags!
Welcome to Kirsty who attended her first session, it was great to meet you.
Well done to everyone else :)

Tonight 5 GoodGymers ran 2 miles to Meanwood to help a new organisation (to us), Homeless Hampers. We headed to their storage unit to sort out their masses of clothing donations, ready to give out to Homeless people in and around Leeds. The charity have recently announced that Homeless Hampers is amongst one of the first charities to be awarded the King’s Award for Voluntary Service. They are excited to be going to the King's garden party this summer. Congratulations guys.
Congratulations also to Helen Noyes who completed her 130th mission tonight. What a fantastic achievement and thanks for all your hard work Helen!
