4.15 rendezvous @ museum gardens main gate opted for scanning in punters Hmm @ my 1st ever go I unsuccessfully tried to use wrong end of scanner, D'OH but in 5min i was quite proficient @ this simple task. The day was a sell out so we worked like dogs getting crowd in pausing only for the unalloyed joy of people trying to get glass perfume btls thru security & having to leave a 100ml of Jimmy Choo in the dirt (play stupid games win stupid prizes) Ahem madam your ticket please, OMD were by far the standout act for me with many bands appearing to be tribute acts of themselves but a fun day was had 😁

Sophie Abbott completed 25 good deeds with GoodGym.
Sophie has already done 25 good deeds with GoodGym. Instead of doing anything else, they've used their run to go and help people that need their help; digging, lifting, scraping, clearing, planting and weeding. Stuff that makes this a better place to be.

Another fun Friday night setting up the clothes swap. Good to have three first timers for this task including Nada who got stuck in and will hopefully join us again soon.

Not our words, but those of the lead marshal at Pride! So Antonia, James, Jenna, Becca, Soph and Elle did their best to keep the enormous rainbow flag straight all across York! Having to do all the anti-terrorism training was a drag (pun intended), but well worth it on the day. They had a fantastic time and there were even whispers of doing it again next year.

One Happy Sunday seven psyched up Good Gymers attended the York Health and Arts Mela to promote Good Gym for its physical and mental health benefits. Pills and Thrills are all well and good, but here at Good Gym we believe there's nothing like a bit of exercise in a friendly social atmosphere to improve your well-being. We changed the line up a few times (creative differences), but Vicky was there throughout, keeping the vibe going like a regular Bez. We spotted a few Squirrels, and lots of 24 Hour Party People, including Margaret Wells, Lord Mayor of York. Jason Rose, one of the Councillors for Acomb Ward, also joined us, and raved to first place in our litter picking challenge. Other highlights included a giant chicken, Spiderman, and some unavoidable morris dancing.

Soph and Elle joined the Fulford Litter Pick this morning and the photo says it all! (Just as a point of clarification, as I think many people assume Soph lives in Fulford, she hikes her way from Acomb for each of these tasks so an extra applause for Soph! Lazy Elle has to go for a long walk after to not feel so guilty!)

Great work! You’re anything but lazy Elle!
