(Pig) Sty-agon Alley

Portsmouth Report written by Nick Savage

Finnuala and I decided to spend an hour tackling the nitty gritty of the-alley-near-but-not-next-to-big-tesco-in-the-pompey-centre.

No great treasures were found other than some rather snazzy sunglasses, but we discovered a Network Rail electrical cabinet had been broken into by some scoundrels, which we will report in case of any safety concerns.

Finnuala also managed to step into something we optimistically decided was "sand". Otherwise it was deposited by a rather large critter.

Puzzling over the pieces

Portsmouth Report written by Judy Knapp

GoodGymers applied their grey matter to the puzzling problem of jigsaw checking.

We enlisted partners, kids, pets and fellow GGers to complete puzzles ranging from 500 to 1500 pieces. The puzzles could then be returned to MAKE for sale in their shop.

"A Good Book is An Event in my Life"

Portsmouth Report written by Judy Knapp

"Reading brings us unknown friends."

"We read books to find out who we are."

"Once you have read a book you care about, some part of it is always with you."

"Books should go where they will be most appreciated, and not sit unread, gathering dust on a forgotten shelf, don't you agree?"

Portsmouth GoodGymers agree. Over 250 books were donated to numerous charities around the City, to bring joy & inspiration to new readers.

Matilda says it best: "Books transported her into new worlds and introduced her to amazing people who live exciting lives."

A bit like GoodGym really.
