Josh Tabitha and Pete met at Beer n Burger, warmed up, then jogged a couple of k's to the Gladstone Park allottments, where we met Beatriz and Tania and Carol who runs them. Carol organised us, giving us tools and gloves. Tania was joining for the first time, so welcome Tania 👍. Beatriz and Tabitha used wheelbarrows and forks to transport wood chippings to create new paths while Josh Tania and Pete dug over a patch of garden to return nutrients to the soil. Carol gave us yummy juice and cake at the end, then some of us walked home, the rest jogged the couple of k's back to Beer n Burger where we cooled down and finished. Great job! Well done! See you next week.

After a weekend whirl of sunshine, Monday reminded the crew it was still April with icy winds. As Tabitha, Samina & Josh met at Beer and Burger ready to stay warm. An attractive run down past Queens Park to get the blood pumping to meet Lee & Beatriz for some high energy Queens Park Council newsletter deliveries! No time to stay still London wind, the team expanded out over Portnall Road to reach the mail slots and letterboxes of the residents within council region. With a small uphill run back to the starting location, the team earned a well deserved sit down in Beer and Burger afterwards.

With Tabitha, Josh & Catherine looping up outside Beer & Burger for a needed warm-up for those fresh off a half marathon. A slow run was begun for the first task at Clitterhouse farm for 2024. Meeting Lee and Cherian upon arrival. With fresh paintings up upon entrance and tuliups blooming to welcome us, we gloved up with buckets and forks in hand. With a heap of compost to overturn and move to a new location. We were moving mountains not molehills. Working in the farm, mother nature decided we needed feeding and bestowed buckets of rain down on us ensuring we were well watered. With some smooth transitions of team work, effort was shared and compost was delivered. With a meandering movement back to Beer & Burger for a well deserved drink to celebrate the changing of season and type of tasks!

With a small group pre meet of just two at Beer & Burger, Tabitha led the group of Josh at a blistering pace in training for future race pace. To the welcome sight of Samina & Cherian patiently waiting at the task site. Only arriving to learn the famed powerful jet washer was feeling a little under the weather and wasn't showing face for work that night.
Not to be deterred Group Leader Tabitha got into gear with the back up task of improving the cleanliness and safety of the children's play area at the school. The group collected Beatriz and Lee to fill the team at full-strength.
Tools of instruction in hand the battle of astro turf versus sand grains begun. Quickly learning how to optimise the group put manufacturing lines to shame with efficency at top regard... after safety. With teamwork, learnings from mistakes and a few beads of sweat, the group turned the playgrounds undesired desert into appropriate child's play areas clean from sand.
After such a contribution the team parted ways, Samina, Beatriz, and Cherian home. Whilst Tabitha took Josh on a training run through the rolling hills of Gladstone Park. Only for backmarker, Lee the athlete he is to make it to Beer & Burger first!
