Six Goodgymmers braved the unpredictable and chilly weather to assemble at Wanstead House, with a further three having to pull out for various reasons.
Besides a few of the usual suspects, we had the pleasure of welcoming both someone new to Goodgym (give Rajesh a big cheer!) as well as an experienced one on a mission to visit every area in London - Olivia.
Linda kindly offered to lead the walking group, so three set off to the Cornerstone church, with the other three chasing them down a little later.
Arriving within a minute of each other and at the agreed time (how did we do that??), we were welcomed by a waiting Adam, kindly offering a hot drink to warm up. Energized we set to work sifting through the bags of donated clothing, both quality checking as separating by size and clothing vs accessories.
Before we knew it, the bags were emptied, clothing crated up by size and accessories bagged up for later sorting. Saying our goodbyes to Adam, we followed his expert local knowledge and found new shorter ways back to base/home/station, happy in the knowledge we made a difference in the lives of some mums needing a helping hand

A crisp dry evening for our weekly session in Wanstead!
Julia and Linda arrived rather early to bring a new filing cabinet to store our goodgym bits and pieces for the tasks. In no time John arrived and after a bit of a catch-up we made our way to Leytonstone by walking quite briskly to keep off the cold.
It was an energising march to arrive just in time at 7.12pm to the church where Adam was waiting for us with everything laid out and offered us a cuppa and buiscuits, which we gratefully accepted! What a fantastic welcome for us!
We got to folding donated baby clothes, separating them by ages. There were some real crackers there - super cute and we appreciated the baby humour!:)
Time flew by very quickly, so we tidied up everything and said our goodbyes and then jogged back down the hill, walking the rest of the way.
A great Monday night task and exercise!

On a drizzly and chilly evening a team of hardy Goodgymmers assembled at Wanstead House for a little GGR adventure. We had the pleasure of welcoming the lovely Kat from GG Waltham Forest and seeing Dharmesh' smiling face again.
Tonight's task involved tackling some more of the leaves & needles all over the car park. The windy wet weather ofcourse didn't deter the crew and they set to work on inventing a new form of curling, sweeping & scrubbing in style lit up by head torches.
Done with the task for the evening the team split up in those opting to walk and those going for a run - Dharmesh' 5k daily running streak is still intact.
Post run there was a nice little surprise waiting - Linda organised a few little 'Colins' to celebrate the 3 milestones reached this evening:
Dharmesh - 200
Linda - 400
Peter - 700
Next Wanstead session on the 5th of December will be a Baby Bank visit
P.S.... for perhaps the first time ever James did not arrive in shorts! 😱
