Saturday 14th October
Gaby Clarke (She/her) cheered by other people 25 times.
Gaby is part of a crowd that's making a huge noise. Gaby has been cheered by 25 people - that's a round of applause just on their own. We hope they keep it up.

For the 2nd year in a row we took the task of handing out running numbers the day before Oxford Half. 17 dogs were stroked (yes Anna counted), the queue was marshalled with ruthless efficiency, and many happy/nervous runners left ready to race their hearts out.

GoodGymers in Autumn are basically bulb-planting machines. We have been sprinkling daffodil bulbs like fairy dust all over Marston for a few years now, and it's always a pleasure to see them sprout in the spring (phew! we didn't do it wrong!).
This week's race against the rain and darkness was along Oxford Road. Team work makes the dream work, and despite being accused of digging up/stealing the ground (a new complaint for us), we planted buckets and buckets of bulbs between Cherwell Drive and Gordon Close.
Nice to meet you Gaby!
Saturday 16th September
Gaby Clarke (She/her) been to three different GoodGym areas.
A Tourist likes nothing better than exploring new areas and meeting new people, and that's what Gaby has been doing. Gaby has been to three different GoodGym areas now - nice!

5 Goodgymers gathered for a sunny morning at Oxford City Farm. We were tasked with the job of clearing many weeds, including an abundance of thistles, and harvesting shallots. Working with other volunteers at the farm, we managed to get the area clear - ready for cardboard and compost to prepare for what's next!
During our break we enjoyed checking in with the resident goats, and we even got to take home some hand-picked veggies too! Thanks to Oxford City Farm for a lovely morning!

Really enjoyed this session. It was a lovely morning to run along the river to the task and though I was a bit anxious about meeting new people (only my second task) everyone was really friendly and the 2 hours went by really quickly. Was very satisfying to see how much we had cleared at the end. Great to find out more about Oxford City Farm and they looked after the volunteers well with some nice snacks and a cup of tea!
