Lion Wood Conservation group had asked GoodGym Norwich to join them at a litter pick in Pilling Park and Lion Wood on Saturday 22nd February.
It was perfect spring like day for a litter pick, warm with almost no wind so you could easily collect rubbish into bags.
On the initial glance there didn’t seem much litter but it’s an amazing what a team can find once you get your eye in. The GoodGym team’s rarer finds included a toy sword, part of an oven and a crisp packet from 1989!
It was great to make a difference to this lovely local woodland collecting many bottles, cans and small black bags.
The event ended with Andy R receiving his sash for 100th Good Deed and even a thank you brownie for those that had volunteered.

14 GoodGymers from Norwich got stuck in at Mousehold Heath to clear an area of Broom and Gorse.
The area we covered is normally clear from when it snows and its all pushed down from people sledging. Sadly as we haven't had any snow in Norwich for a few years, this has started to become overgrown.
It was one of Norwich's best locations, with a stunning view overlooking Norwich City Centre, as you can see from the photos.

We had the pleasure of having ITV News joining us to do some filming at our session tonight, which was as tidy up at Greenfields Community Centre.
With the strong Norfolk accents well prepared, a couple of us were also interviewed for the cameras.
I'm not sure when it'll be aired but I will keep you all updated.
We also welcomed Jack to GoodGym Norwich, he's done a few deeds at other GG locations but this was his 1st in Norwich.
The task this evening was to cut back a load of overgrown spiky bushes, to make the centre look more presentable.
It was a challenging task but the team really got stuck in and did an incredible job of completing the job in hand.

This evening was Bingo with the residents at Dell Rose Court.
One of the residents was adamant he would be Bingo caller and had complete control of the situation. This allowed me to take part for once and I even won the 2nd game.... probably the last time I'll be allowed to play teehee.
The residents loved having us there, it was an all round lovely evening with all of us interacting with each other.
