Team GoodGym Wipe The Floor With Oxfam!
We literally did! Tonight 8 GoodGymers ran or walked 2km to support Oxfam Magdalen St store.
The shop floor covers a large area and our task was to hoover, sweep, mop and scrape off any dirt... its fair to say we cleaned up!
The staff were really grateful, as this is difficult to achieve during the daytime when the shop is busy with customers. We even had time to dust the bookshelves and cd wracks.
All in all it was a satisfying evening leaving the store looking fresher, and feeling victorious!

On a sunny Saturday morning 8 Goodgymers helped the Friends of James Stuart Garden to prepare to welcome new visitors as the greenspace opens its doors as part of Norwich Community Garden Festival. We cleared some weeds to make space for some new planting and removed some brambles that were starting to creep in. We were also treated to a cuppa and a biscuit after our digging efforts.

Tonight 11 GoodGymer's ran 2km to Oxfam Magdalen Street store.
High 5's to Francesca who attended her first session!
It was our first visit to this store for 6 years, and store manager Ross still remembered our last visit!
The tasks was going through a large backlog of clothes donations, sorting out the resell-able quality items from the rags (cheap, worn or smelly!).
'Rag' bags are collected and recycled, and the 'keep' items are then priced up and taken to the shop floor below.
Amoungst my favourites was a vintage looking Welsh rugby shirt. Alina had her eye on a few nice items which she was able to purchase!
After 1 hour many many bags had been emptied, sorted and redistributed. Well done team. It was a great evening and we hope to return in the future!

Tonight 5 GoodGymer's ran and walked 5km along Lakenham Way to pick litter.
This area can see a high level of litter, and we were able to borrow tools and bags from Wild Lakenham conservation group at short notice - thank you!
After 45mins we had filled to large bags of cans, bottles and odd bit and pieces.
The most surprising find was a chrome bike frame, that Jonathan decided to carry home and make use of!
