7 Goodgymers joined abcd-in-luton and the FoLP for the monthly litterpick at Leagrave Park. The team were out enjoying what was a relatively mild autumn 🍂 day as we all did our best to help keep the park clear of rubbish 🗑. After an hour collecting litter, we'd all collected 15 bags in total, a children's bike and several parts to what we think was a quad bike. Great effort by the team and definitely really appreciated by the community. Well done 👏 ✔️ 👍🏻

You never know until you join us because no Friday is ever the same. Thanks to Charmaine’s creativity, both old and young people present weren’t left out in the sitting dance movement. @Musa’s presence was of great help to the team. Abim also needs to do more exercise and less eating lol.

Tonight, 8 of Lutons Goodgym champions, joined members of Desi Arts and Sundon Park Baptist Church as part of the Shri Guru Ravidass Sangat's near neighbours funded project, cooking food and bringing different communities together. Tonight the team helped to cook, a delicious tomato infused rice, dhal, aubergine 🍆 curry, roti (117 in total) and rice pudding. Twice the rice 🍚 but oh so nice. It was great to welcome Dinner Dee to her first Goodgym session. Everyone got stuck in with washing up and cleaning down in the kitchen and we all got a little doggy bag to take away. Great effort 👌 everyone 👏

There was an unimaginable number of people in attendance. A big thumbs up to @Charmaine for the supply of extra yummies for the day.

Yayy it’s Friday again and we were so happy to welcome our regulars attendees and some new faces. @Charmaine and Abim like two peas in a pod did their best to get everyone sorted.

We had such an incredible turnout at the cafe today compared to last week. With lots of yummies to eat and drink! With help from parish volunteers the 2-goodgymers were able to tidy up 🧹 quickly and get the hall set up for tomorrow’s parish program.

It was a huge surprise to see @Charmaine back at the cafe! Everyone was happy excited to give her a warm hug. It was a slow start but the grove went on with cheers and applause.

Hurrah 🎉 !!! Singing Cafe’s oldest attendee celebrated her 96th birthday today with a lovely song performance from our cafe vocal Artiste as everyone sang along with cheers and laughter. The goodgym cafe musketeers had their sleeves up as usual to help with setting up and cleaning up after today’s event.

Another month another litterpick at Leagrave Park. 8 of Luton Goodgyms finest turned out with the monthly event held by the FoLP. Over 25 bags of rubbish were collected along with a hub cap, the back seat of a car and a tyre. Kev from ABCD-IN-LUTON brought along a new contraption to essentially vacuum the cigarette 🚬 butt's off the floor. That was a wonder to behold. Great effort by everyone today. 👏
