Double the fun, Double the rainbow 🌈🌈

Wednesday 3rd September

Written by Cheski Kennedy (she/her)

On a wonderfully sunny Wednesday evening, a team of Goodgymer's descended upon the enchanting Tiny Forest, ready to lend a hand. The day had started with torrential rain, but luckily, the skies cleared just in time for our session. As we began, the sun shone brightly overhead, and we were even treated to a stunning double rainbow – a perfect accompaniment to our efforts.

Our mission was to tackle the overgrown weeds that had taken over parts of the Tiny forest. The rain had made the soil softer, making it easier to remove the stubborn plants. With determination and teamwork, we made significant progress, leaving the forest looking loved and cared for.

After a productive weeding session, we got moving with a fun fitness session. We ended with a jumping lunges competition! With smiles and laughter, we wrapped up the session and made our way back to the station, feeling invigorated and fulfilled.

Huge thanks to everyone who joined us for an unforgettable evening at Tiny Forest. Your energy and enthusiasm made a real difference, and we're grateful for your time and effort.

Tiny Forest, Massive Weeds 🌳

Wednesday 30th July

Written by Cheski Kennedy (she/her)

On a gloriously sunny Wednesday, a team of GoodGymmers gathered at the ever-inspiring Tiny Forest for an afternoon of green-fingered TLC.

The task? Wrestle with some seriously overgrown creeper weeds that had taken over parts of the site—and these were not your average garden variety. These giants were determined to stay rooted, but luckily, so were we.

After a solid weeding session, we turned our attention to the litter that had snuck its way into the undergrowth. In true GoodGym style, bags were filled, odd items unearthed (a half-buried shoe may have made an appearance), and by the end, the Tiny Forest looked loved once again.

With the hard graft done, we didn’t stop there. Taking full advantage of the sturdy benches and that blazing sunshine, we rounded off with a bonus fitness session—think tricep dips, step-ups, and a good stretch, all with smiles and a side of sweat.

Huge thanks to everyone who came along and gave their time and energy. The forest (and the local wildlife!) are grateful—and so are we. 🌳☀️💪
