Yesterdayโs group meet-up at the Tiny Forest can only be described as: HOT. SWEATY. HEROIC.
The weather was absolutely boiling โ๏ธ๐ฅ โ the kind of heat where you start sweating just thinking about moving. But did that stop us? Absolutely not.
Before we even got to the gardening part, Jalal decided the best way to arrive at the gardens was via a full-speed sprint ๐โโ๏ธ๐จ One minute we were casually walkingโฆThe next minute we were in an unexpected cardio session. By the time we arrived, everyone was out of breath, slightly confused, but somehow fully ready for battle ๐
We got straight to work tackling the other half of the Tiny Forest, pulling weeds left, right, and centre. It was proper hard work, especially in the heat, but the forest is looking better already ๐ช๐ฟ Special shoutout to Chau, who arrived like a gardening professional with her handheld shovel ๐ง๐ฑ That little shovel turned out to be the MVP of the day, helping dig out all the stubborn weeds that refused to leave peacefully.
At one point, Jalal entered into direct combat with a giant weed. It was man versus nature.
There was pulling. There was twisting. There was determination. There may even have been emotional damage.
In the end, Jalal got most of it out after a very intense struggle ๐ฟ๐ฅ The weed put up a strong fight, but victory was ours.
After finishing up, we ran back to the station at top speed again ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ๐จ And thenโฆ HELICOPTERS ๐๐๐ Loads of them in the sky. No idea what was happening โ maybe someone was on the run, maybe it was an action movie filming, maybe Jalalโs weed finally called for backup. Whatever it was, we suddenly found ourselves running EVEN FASTER back home ๐

Tonight's GoodGym group run at Bassuah Legacy Foundation was a blast! ๐ This fantastic charity shop in our community does incredible work supporting single-parent families, and we love to lend a hand.
First off, huge welcome to Eli our newest group member, on her first outing with us ๐! And great to see Chau rocking her new bright red GoodGym shirt!
We dived straight into action, tackling the shop's stockrooms and displays. Matt was our shoe whisperer, meticulously searching and pricing up footwear to ensure Tina, the lovely owner, gets the best price possible for her stock ๐ธ. Meanwhile, the rest of us hung as many clothes as we could, though we did have a mini challenge tracking down enough hangers ๐ โ it's like they vanish into thin air, right?
We also managed to help make a sale! Two DVDs found new homes - it's always a great feeling knowing our efforts are making a real difference to the shop and the community it supports.
Big thanks to everyone for their hard work and enthusiasm ๐

Last night's meet-up was a blast! Just me and Chau, taking over the Bassuah Legacy Foundation charity shop ๐ช๐ฝ๐
We were greeted with a warm hug from Tina, the lovely owner. We got straight to work, dividing and conquering like pros ๐ค!
I took on the upstairs challenge, swapping out old stock for fresh faces ๐๐, while Chau tackled the downstairs store area like a boss ๐. She sorted bags of clothes into neat boxes, separating brands from non-brands like a pro ๐ต๏ธโโ๏ธ.
The verdict? The shop is looking sorted ๐คฉ!
If you ever find yourself in the area, do pop into Bassuah Legacy Foundation โ it's a win-win: great finds and supporting single-parent families ๐!
