Wednesday 3rd January

Written by Katie London

Many goodgymers rummaged in their cupboards and donated bags for the foodbank. This is a little task but it makes a big difference to people in need with large food parcels to take home.

The final pack down

Thursday 5th October 2023

Written by Katie London

6 Goodgymers didn't just pack down the foodbank today we packed it down, packed it up and shipped it off down the road. Under Richard's quiet leadership crates were organised, shelves unloaded and the entire foodbank lock stock and all smoking bean cans were put in the van, and a few cars, and taken to a new church. Whilst there was a sadness to our empty stockroom and we worried it would never ever be the same. We are happy to travel under the bridge to the pure shores of a new venue where Goodgym will still support Foodback and spread the message that we know where its at - All Saints Church (because the 90s are cool again). We will be there next week where cropped tops and cargo pants with added belts will be optional.

The Cat In The Hat!

Thursday 21st September 2023

Written by Portsmouth runner

Huge congratulations to Katie today on reaching her 300th Goodgym task, and counting ....... And it was a busy one with non-stop requests for crates and swaps for the full hour. We had quite a few crates already made up, so Richard and Mel were mixing up their usual tasks and each making up crates, bagging up toiletries, changing crates to suit different needs. Richard, found his stripey hat which looked very fetching, but we did manage to persuade him to take it off before running home. Katie and Lucy were on the front desk making sure everyone got what they needed and weighing everything going out. Rob and Pat our honourary GG members were a great help outback and infront respectively, labelling, weighing, and re-stocking, crate making. As usual the time sped past and it was time to pack everything away.
