Tonight 4 GoodGymers were back at Belle Isle park to continue the work on the new wildflower area. A massive hello and thank you to Owen, who has his first session with us tonight. The mosquitos wouldn't stay away tonight so we ended a bit early, but we made great progress! (and left muddy footprints on the way out!)
Photo is of last week so you can see our progress!

Tonight 5 GoodGymers were back at Belle Isle, our first visit here since the winter. We were back to carry on the wildflower project, doing an hour of some pretty heavy-going turf moving.
We also had a new member join us tonight, a big hello and well done to Chris, we hope you had a fun session with us!

Tonight 3 GoodGymers were back with the Friends of Belle Isle, creating an area for future wildflowers. Big shout out to Lawrence and Lucy, smashing effort in moving the turf up the hill in the wheelbarrow!

3 runners met near the riverside to help create a new wild flower area by removing turf and relocating it to improve the local park. As usual, we had a good chat about work, life and the universe - and agreed this is another bonus of GG!

Tonight we said hasta-la-vista baby to a good load of turf, making way for a new wildflower area along the walkway quayside. The 5 of us shifted a good amount of the turf and even made a start on the second area - but we'll be back 😎

This week was our final task at Belle Isle Park before a winter break, and it was great to see so many joining in. The 5 of us were joined by 6 community volunteers in doing one final bramble clear.
Its great to reflect on what the park was like at the start of the year, and celebrate the efforts over some local drinks. We'll be back at the park in the spring (and maybe a cheeky visit on a couple of Sundays). Next up for GoodGym Exeter is a triple task week next week - Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday!
