I am a University of Manchester graduate with a degree in Sociology who is currently living in Stoke-on-Trent. During my degree I researched age related issues such as stigma, age discrimination, and social isolation. With our population rapidly growing older, I believe that aiding healthy and thriving relationships between age groups in our local areas not only helps community cohesion but supports people on an individual level who are struggling with loneliness. We all know somebody elderly in our lives that may want to reach out to people around them. We all know somebody who needs the motivation to get their running shoes on. We as a community can get fit and end social isolation, just sign up!
