Well I’ve always fancied the tail walker job at the Mowbray Park Junior Parkrun - a nice easy walk and encouraging the kids along.

Today they all decided to be super speedy and throw some unicorn prancing into the mix…. 🥵

Although I enjoyed a bit of prancing about , my poor old knees didn’t thank me for it !

For the first time in a long time I actually did some running myself! Just a short run there and back but it felt good! Great to see the kids and cheer them on in their own running goals as well.

Love to see Mowbray Park on a morning, ducks, birds and rabbits - a Sunday safari!

Well, me and the Newcastle Parks rangers were sorely needed today at Hodgkin Park. We arrived to someone’s idea of fun - a burnt out wheelie bin and rubbish strewn everywhere.

We made quick work of that and I did a lap of the park collecting more rubbish.. including an abandoned Croc and a ball which had seen happier times.

After that, we got to work clearing the weeds and grass from around the bench with the best view in Benwell (forgot to take a photo… you’ll need to go and find out for yourself!)
