All Goodgymers BOOK’ED in before the expiry date 📚
Wow, what a glorious morning for a Goodgym task. The team met at Welling Library to take on the front, side and Back. In fact no page was left unturned as we chopped, weeded and swept making the library look absolutely fabulous again.

Welling Library Tidy Up 📚

We’re back at the library and we’ll be allowed to talk and make noise 🤣 We’ll need to pull weeds, give a sweep and cut back the usual bushes.
Hope to see you there.

‘THE HOE MUST GO ON’ 🪴 🌻 🌼
What a glorious day for our first return to the Old English Gardens. We were greeted as always by Nicky who got the team to work straight away.
It was off to work we "hoe" for one group of goodgymers as their task was to gently turn over soil before covering the ground with fresh mulch. Our other team got busy cutting branches and sorting out the compost area.
The gardens look absolutely fabulous.
Thank you as always for all the hard work team, it was great to see you all. Oh, and thanks Johnny for the great PUNs, you was on fire 🤣

WE’RE BACK AT THE OLD ENGLISH GARDENS 🙌🏻 🧹

Yay, we’re back at the Old English gardens. These task are always so peaceful and pleasant. Being the first one back after winter there’s definitely going to be loads to get stuck into so all hands on deck will be needed.
Hope to see ya all there………
Team Bexley 👊🏻😃

Doin' the Woodland walk, oi!
This morning, Bexley GoodGymers were back helping the Friends of Danson Park sprucing up the Woodland Walk.
We moved logs to line the walk then spread wood chippings to cover the muddy path.
It was a big team effort as we worked alongside the Friends' regular volunteers and others from the Friends of the Old English Gardens and the 2nd Welling Scouts (both are organisations that GoodGym Bexley has worked with in their own right).
The transformation to the path was amazing, and shoveling the wood chips and wheeling the barrows certainly provided a 'Do Good Get Fit' workout!
A big thank you to The Stables for the tea and coffee afterwards; a welcome treat.

DANSON WOODLAND WALK 🌳

One of my favourite places to volunteer. We’ll be tackling the woodland walk laying out paths and sorting out the bushes as well as other fun things. As usual Lyn will be waiting to greet us. It’s the perfect time to, straight after Danson Park Run so hopefully see upon there 👊🏻😃
We meet at the small toilet block office by the woodland walk opposite the old English gardens

Libraries make shhh happen, and a lot certainly did happen 👊🏻😃
What an awesome morning at the Welling library task. The weather was fab and the Bexley Goodgymers were ready to get things done. The library was definitely in need of a tidy up, its been a few months since we've been able to be here so we made sure we done a proper job before leaving. The building got itself a proper front, side and back hair cut which lead to around 5 large bags of weeds and rubbish, boom 💥
Thanks everyone who showed up and made our first task of 2022 a real special one, see ya next week 👊🏻😃

Pining for an Xmas task - you’d better beleaf it
After parkrun participation at Bexley, Dartford Heath and Greenwich, runners plus other GoodGym members arrived at Christ Church Erith to help setup approximately 40 Xmas trees for the Erith Christmas Tree Festival. 🎄 As a result of COVID, this wasn’t held last year so it was our first visit back since 2019. This year the task was made easier as the trees arrived already in bases so we were required to move them to specific locations in the church. Some of the task force used the time saved to select and partly decorate the GoodGym tree. Thanks to Peter, Nick, the Lees and the Wrens for donations towards the sponsored tree 🎄 Mince pies consumed, a number of us were still hungry enough to make our way for a Xmas brunch at the Old Library.

Unwrapping and mounting 50 Christmas trees 🎄

It's back!
It's been 2 years since we last helped prep for the Erith Christmas tree festival!
It's a unique and fun task which involves prepping the Christmas trees for the festival, a brilliant way to get into the Christmas spirit!
The trees will be held inside the Church and will need to be moved outside, unwrapped, placed in the bases and moved back inside and into position ready for decorating.
This year we have our very own Christmas Tree, sponsored by GoodGym Bexley. We have been given the opportunity to decorate our tree after having completed the set up!
After the task we are planning to head over the the Erith Exchange for brunch
See how we got on last time
Bring gardening gloves if you have them as the trees can be prickly.
