Painting and prepping the wall for the Chicksand St mural

Please note that this community mission has been cancelled.
I'm really sorry to have to let you know that Bablu and I have decided to cancel tomorrow's event and re-list it for Monday.
We have done this because the weather forecast looks set to rain for tomorrow's task and this is a weather-dependent activity!
We could have waited until closer to the time but we were concerned that as some of you are coming from different areas of London, you wouldn't have received the notification in time.
So, we have rescheduled for Monday - the listing is here.
Hope you may be able to make it, and apologies again.
- Laura

Lora is a now a pretty committed GoodGym runner. They've just run to do good for the fifth time

Packington Gallery Food Bank Deep Clean
This evening, Lora and Trainer Simon gave the Packington Gallery Food Bank (in association with the Arc Centre) a full clean, scrub, sanitise and mop, ready for a large drop of donations later on the week. It was satisfying work, and we certainly made the space look like new!
Just before we left, one of the local volunteers from Edible London popped by with a car full of supplies for the centre. We brought in all of the crates (also with the help of John and Jackie) before heading out to our next task at Thornhill Square.

Please note that this community mission has been cancelled.
Great to finally have the sign off from Hackney Paris to be able to get back to helping them in some of our favourite locations, and no location better than Abney Park Cemetery to get the party started again!!
To help prepare the park for Winter we are on the mulch shovel, shift and tip efforts!!
A great way to work in small teams and have a massive impact on the park Helping to allow all year around park use and protect this historic site!
Working in pods of up to 6 we will meet at the gates front gates on Stoke Newington High Street where we will grab the tools before heading off to the mulch piles to get digging, wheelbarrowing and tipping!!
Would love you to sign up and come along notice that places are limited so please come along if you sign up.

Food Bank Fix
We had a great team at the Packington Gallery Foodbank last night! Trainer Simon was joined by Lora and Steve for our weekly cleaning and sanitising session for this essential community hub.
Steve got cracking with wiping down all of the surfaces with disinfectant and sanitiser (moving huge boxes of donated fruit and veg in the process), while Lora swept up all the floors in the main room and kitchen areas, before we all pitched in with a good mopping session.
Just as Trainer Simon and Steve were about to jog to Newington Green, we were met by a few volunteers from Edible London, who were dropping off loads of donations at the site. We unloaded their car and brought in tonnes of cans and tins for the project before closing up and setting off into the night.
Great work folks- your contribution to this regular task is invaluable!

Digging in the ditch
Teaming up with the SNUG's and City energy garden to start the transformation of the bedding hedge at rectory road station.
Gettting our hands dirty and finding interesting objects along the way of like children's buggies and bed spring burried in the hedge.
Ultimately looking to create a better landscape on the station platform and ecosystem to local inhabitants in the area.
