Liz completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Liz was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

Liz is a now a fully fledged GoodGym runner. They've just run to do good for the first time. They are out there making amazing things happen and getting fit at the same time.

Canny Monday evening picking up litter in the Toon
We had a really lovely evening on the Quayside, picking up lots of litter. It didn't rain as forecast which was great!
It was brilliant to be joined by Carol Anne, Liz (first ever GoodGym good deed!!) , Eleanor and Louise.
We managed to pick up 5 bags full of litter. We had a great meander along Skinnerburn Road (where we found lots of bottles, cans and McDonalds packaging) and then headed back along the Cycle path.
This evening was really enjoyable, lots of laughing, chatting and switching off from everything else.
Highlights of what we found tonight included a random plastic pink pig (see the photo) and an empty Gin bottle.
(Go and give Liz a cheer/welcome!)

Newcastle
Litter pick along the Tyne

Come along and join in with a litter pick and help make Newcastle a cleaner and tidier place
Meet outside the Wetherspoons on the Newcastle Quayside (not related to the task but just a good/easy place to meet!) Meet around the back, closest to the footpath along the Tyne.
- We can split into small groups as needed
- Bin bags will be provided but please bring your own gloves.
- It might be best to wear Hi Viz clothing and bring a head torch along if you have one (even better, bring along a litter picker if you have one!)
