Last night for our group run, we went to a block of flats in Kennington Park Road, to help the community there with their garden.
Firstly, we met at Old Spike which was the start of our run. We welcomed some newbies Diana, Sam and Nancy. Then after a quick warm up, we split into two groups and set off to Kennington at two different paces. Daryl's group were first to arrive, also meeting them there was James, Lindy and Richard. They all got stuck in the the first task, which was to move a shed. Diana, Nelly and I joined after. We all were given a variety of different tasks: moving soil, assembling furniture, trimming bushes and raking leaves.
Sandy and the rest of the TRA were really happy to have us. We made a big difference in the short amount of time. Well done all!

On Wednesday 14 of us went to do some weeding at Peckham Rye Park and Common Tiny Forest (which has grown a lot since our last visit!) followed by a game of bowls at Peckham Bowls. We did get caught in the rain on our loop of the park but it stopped by the time we got to Tiny Forest. And luckily was dry for the rest of the evening.

This Wednesday evening a group of 10 goodgymmers came to help out at Salvation Army.
As usual most of us met at the Old Spike. After a little banter, introduction and warm up, we did some warm up exercises and headed off on a jog to the Salvation Army. This was an easy 1.5k run.
Liam and Anna were waiting for us there, at the task - as was Polis to let us in and show us to the task. The task was to clean the childrens' toys. We wiped and wiped, and in no time we had made it through the trove of toys. A job well done (as usual).
After saying our goodbyes, we left for the Old Spike to have our cool-down.
