Back to the goodgym plot today, to help this colourful bed deal with the heat and dryness. Followed by a coffee at the cafe where more plans were made to get together and support each other.

On Thursday, Levita, Anna, and Farzeen volunteered at Growbaby, helping to move donation bags from the storage room upstairs to the front of the premises. We girls worked together with big smiles and plenty of girl power, and thanks to our great teamwork, the task was accomplished quickly!

After finishing, we celebrated our hard work with a tasty Chinese treat at Little Hunan. It was the perfect way to end a fun and rewarding evening together!

Tonight, four GoodGymers met to collect water from the Thames for the GoodGym Kingston flowerbeds. The water is absolutely vital for the plants especially as the heat rises. A lot of these plants were lovingly planted by Claire, so we need to look after them to provide a colourful plot in Canbury gardens. We even had some supervisors!

With the heat wave in full force the worms were sensibly hiding as Levita and Claire made a very early trip to the GoodGym flowerbed to gather water from the river and give the plants a good drink.

They had survived the blistering heat well but needed a drink as did we after two trips to the river pulling out buckets of water and pushing the wheel barrows full of water up the hill.

Hopefully the rain will come again soon.
