There were not too many donations to sort through today, but all the volunteers had a nice time chatting and learning more about GROAD. We're excited to come back again in the future, and also planning to go home and sort through our own closets for things to Get Rid of And Donate!

We had a fun afternoon of disco music, sorting food, and stocking shelves at the Borough Food Cooperative. Ceiling and Lauren got really good at wrapping things in cellophane — definitely a skill. The team also found some rather interesting shaped vegetables. We’re excited for future Fridays at this community mission.

I was able to get all the food items Mr B needed, and drop them off at his front door in a contact-free manner. He told me that he gets out of self-isolation shortly, so hopefully he is feeling better soon!

The British Red Cross representative kindly let us in, and we were able to rearrange the furniture to allow ample room for the hospital bed. All the extra furniture is now in the bedroom rather than the living room, and the medical supplies are easily accessible. Hopefully, Mr. W will have an easy return home.
