Perhaps we missed the memo, but it turned out Wanstead House was closed for the summer holidays. Good thing we got a key to 'our' little home round the back!

Coming across the car park we noticed the gardening crew was not on holiday, with several piles of branches & leaves & dirt spread around. So we gathered all the loose bits in one place for easier green waste collection.

Just as we were finishing off, Cedric popped round to see what we were up to. With Peter struggling a bit after a long day, the 'batton' was passed to James to do part 2:

..... We picked up our bags and litter picks and off we went. Picked a route from The George pub to Redbridge roundabout, a long stretch of road near the motorway, havent picked there in about 6 weeks, so it was a fair pick we managed to get with the 3 or us, about 4 bags worth. Cedric left us and continued on his run, and Linda and myself managed to find a new member on the feline side which we habe nicknamed good jim.
