Last night was the first group run back, ok not the furthest run we've done but a run none the less. We kicked the evening off with a group warm up then Susan led the group towards our task whilst Caz looked after the gang at the back.
On arrival we were a little shocked to be welcomed by locked gates but this panic was short lived as the staff from the club arrived shortly after us.
A change of plan to was put in place as painting was no longer happening, however this didn't put off team Goodgym as we got ourselves stuck into cleaning up the back terraces whilst having a great chat at the same time.
Thanks to Sarah, Johnny, Peter, Gemma, Caz, Martin, Nick and Susan for getting out and smashing the task, you are all awesome 👊🏻😃
We’ll be meeting at Crooklog sports centre for our warm up before heading out through Danson Park arriving at Welling FC for 19.30 for our task.
The task will involve painting painting back of hoardings and then glossing the fronts. On completion of the task we’ll be heading back along the path in a straight line to Crooklog to finish for the evening.
If you’re not wanting to run you can meet us at the location for 19.30msharp to start. See you there team 🙌🏻
What an awesome evening down at the Bexley Allotments, it was definitely all hands on deck as we tackled weeds, brambles, laid down sheeting and pulled out roots.
It was great seeing the red shirts buzzing around and working really hard in what was a very hot evening. The transformation was brilliant and i know that 'Duncan' and the guys from 'Bridging the Gap' were over the moon with the results.
Thanks everyone for working so hard, see you soon..............
Monday nights mission is not a mammoth one but it’s still needs doing. We’ll be heading out to LongLands Road Allotments to help with a tidy up. We”ll also hopefully be meeting another local charity on the same night to show them what our team can do.
Brings some gloves 🧤 if you have them because I know they don’t have to much in the way of equipment
Fab turnout for last nights mission. We played a blinder, pushing forward covering all the field before pulling the trigger (on the weed killer) for an awesome result............
A big shout out must go to the sweepers who also done a brilliant job along the terraces. Well done team.
Team we’ve got a busy task next Thursday. We’re hopefully going to be painting and tidying ip the hoardings and giving a little spring clean at Welling United FC
Really hoping you can join us and don’t forget to bring clothing that you don’t mind getting paint on. Tim 🙌🏻
What a brilliant evening, firstly because it was great doing Goodgym again with people i haven't seen in well over a year and secondly it was our first evening task in around the same time.
Well last night we were back at one of our favorite places, Danson Youth Centre. Over ground was an understatement so it was all hands on deck to clear and tidy up the footpaths, remove a ton of over grown stinging nettles and plenty of weeding, although there was a lot to do it didn't stop our excitement of being back goodgyming.
The evening was completed by planting a couple of herbs in the areas we just cleaned up.
Well done team and thanks for a great evening.............
Having been closed most of covid 19 our friends at our local youth centre are looking for our help to tidy up a bit. The youth centre is a hub for our youth and local community so it’s a task worth doing so we have a safe and clean place for everyone to use.
We could even have a short run before hand to get everyone back into the grooooove 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♂️🏃♂️ Hope to see you there.
