Well last nights mission was the start of our festive season as we prepared the area at Danson Youth Centre for the return of the beautiful Reindeer.
Firstly we had to cut back a lot of bushes that were taking up the stall area, this also needed brushing out as the area had accumulated a lot of leaves which were wet and heavy. This didn't dampen our spirits though as we knew the joy to our local community when the the reindeer arrive would just be awesome.
Our next clear up was the grass area, we had to get loads of leaves cleared but with the wind being so strong it was a bit of a losing battle, having said this we clears 4 bags worth, we were pleased with that.
See you at the next mission team ๐๐ป

With the dark nights now fully operational it always great to be in the warm and inside for our task.
Tonight it was our church clean up, our goal, a complete dust, brush and mop of the whole church including the church offices and the beautiful organ area (always my fav place)
It was awesome having Neil along after not seeing him in a while and a massive hi 5 to Martin and Caz for your help too, i know St. Michaels really appreciates your help.
Our next task here is in the 4th of December to help put up the tree, this is always a brilliant evening so hope to see you there ๏

What a great turn out for the Bostall Woods mission today. As we showed up the heavens decided to open and down came the rain. Todays mission was a lovely one, we had a ton of daffodil bulbs to plant around the trees along with bluebells and snowdrops near the woods benches.
With some of the team looking after the planting the others took on the task of clearing the pathways to the ladies and gents toilets. Although we got through a lot of the task the rain finally got the better of us as it just didn't let off.
Well done team, it was great seeing you all this afternoon. Until the next mission ๐๐ป

Another lovely evening at St.Michaels church. We had a couple of tasks that needed doing, outside and a big clean inside.
Outside there were some holes in the dirt that needed racking back in as well as a quick litter pick. This task had my name on it, so the head torch was switched on and away i went.
Inside Caz, Sarah, Stephen and Martin got to grips with the dusting and polishing. With mops, brushes and dusters in hand and like a well oiled machine St Micheals started to shine like a new penny again.
I mustn't forget the awesome ladies and gents from St. Michaels who welcome us every month and who also get their hands dirty so that St. Michaels Church is always looking beautiful.
Thanks everyone for getting out tonight, it was great having you along ๐๐ป

We were greeted at the library by a lot of weeds and brambles not to mention lots of litter and leaves to the front.
We all took a deep breath and went to work scrapping and hacking making the alley look brand new again. Wiping hard work sweat from our browes we then proceeded to the front to give that a GG make over, clearing litter and dried leaves from around the plants and stairwell. Thanks Sarah, Caz, Johnny and Martin for the hard work, it looked fab. See you at the next one ๏

This morning we were up and out early to help set up gazibos and the start arch for the Greenwich and Bexley Hospice colour run. Always a fun but technical mission we got the inflatable arch in position. The next job was to attach the banner to the top of the arch which is a mission in its self. We've been putting up the arch for a few years now and it never gets any easier trying to get the start and finish banner on and level. You're having to deal with the arch inflating and knot tying at the same time ๐ and time is not your friend. With the team never going to be beaten we finally got the Colour Run arch up and ready to go. Mission complete. Thanks team ๐๐ป

Fabulous evening at the Danson Youth Centre. The dreaded bush was back and covering the main pathway again. With croppers in hand it was time to reclaim the path and it took two of us the whole evening to get this job done.
I have to give credit to Caz for most the hard work, she got stuck in with no hesitation taking back the footpath from this bush gone rouge. We can say we certainly missed our fellow team mates on this mission ๐
With the darker evenings upon us time was not on our side and it was the first Goodgym after the summer where our head torches had to be dusted off.
Have the best week everyone and we hope to see you at the next mission ๐๐ป
