I attended Bristol GoodGym and I would like to help start up GoodGym in Plymouth, since I enjoyed it so much in Bristol
Gareth has already done 25 good deeds with GoodGym. Instead of doing anything else, they've used their run to go and help people that need their help; digging, lifting, scraping, clearing, planting and weeding. Stuff that makes this a better place to be.
This run is all about team work and euphoria... sorry, no, euphorBia... the plant, not the feeling, although you may experience a sense of euphoria too once we've done our good deed and finished running.
We're heading to a plot of land near Victoria Park which is rapidly getting overrun with weeds, especially euphorbia. The plot is rather small so we'll take the opportunity to combine this task with a little litter pick around the nearby park or if I can arrange it in time, lend a hand at the very near by Windmill Hill City Farm.
The phrase 'many hands make light work' could be a slogan we print on our fetching red t-shirts - the more hands, the more we get done, so don't put off coming to this run - it's going to be a short distance but we'll arrange it so that on the way back to Vivo, there'll be an option to take a longer route back if you fancy.
We're really luck that Vivo Gym, our starting point, let's us use their lockers; bring a padlock if you plan to leave anything there and also say hello to the person on reception so they know you're with GoodGym. Also if you fancy a drink after, bring a few pounds as the beer they serve in their 'Club Haus' is allegedly very good.
See you soon!
Gareth is part of a crowd that's making a huge noise. Gareth has been cheered by 25 people - that's a round of applause just on their own. We hope they keep it up.
Gareth has helped keep other people motivated, Gareth has noticed what others have done and cheered 10 people. We doff our caps to you Gareth.
