Time flies.... another 6 weeks passed, so it was time to pop down to the babybank again.
The lovely Ambra joined us at our Wantead base for her first Goodgym experience - give her a cheer!
As always, Adam had bags of donated clothing waiting to be sorted sorted we arrived, with Elegia & Natalie joining us shortly after, having made their own ways there. We got stuck in sorting through it all, chatting along the way and ofcourse checking out some of the more unusual / cuter finds.
One of these days I will get round to taking a proper set of pictures, including a glimpse of the rest of the process, honestly, but for this one poster girls Ambra & Elegia will have to do 😁
- This Thursday 5/3, Foodbank at Frenfords
- Next group run 16/3
- Next babybank session currently 20/4, but might be brought forward since there is lots to do
- Most Saturdays - Valentines Parkrun (Linda's 200th on 14th!)

Elegia has already done 25 good deeds with GoodGym. Instead of doing anything else, they've used their run to go and help people that need their help; digging, lifting, scraping, clearing, planting and weeding. Stuff that makes this a better place to be.

Not unexpectedly the cold weather had some impact on peoples plans, with several people dropping out for different reasons.
So it was just Elegia & myself getting ready to go out for a run, when the lovely Alex popped round to find out more about Goodgym.
After a chat about Goodgym Redbridge, the 3 of us set off on a run around Wanstead, chatting along the way. Streets looked pretty tidy, no Xmas trees loitering on pavements.
Thanks for coming out in the cold weather ladies!
P.S. a tiny litterpick on the way back to base, taking 2 NO2 canisters from the gutter on the A12 - looks like they have been bounced about a few times.

This was setup as something good to do before the Christmas meal, the goal find loads of litter, following one of our usual routes near Wanstead Leisure centre and toward Redbridge roundabout, we manged to get 2 bags of rubbish and report some fly tipping

it is December after all, so some chocolates & mince pies do seem appropriate for our last visit to the baby bank for 2025...
7 Goodgymmers made their way on foot & by bus down to the Cornerstone Church to meet Adam and get stuck into the bags of clothing to be sorted as usual.
Job done, goodbyes said.
