On Saturday morning, five of us went to clear Mr N's garden. Patrick's Motown playlist kept everyone in high spirits and provided a handy theme for the author of this report.

David arrived slightly late with the bin bags and garden wear, but you can't hurry gloves. Weeds, huh, what are they good for? Absolutely nothing. So Patrick, Sarah and Gabrielle set about pulling up roots in the back garden, while Mr N looked out to see what's going on. David and Andy (it takes two) started in the front garden, and it proved as easy as ABC. After about an hour and a half, the back yard was clear of weeds and their substantial roots.

Fortunately the weather was kind and we were spared the tears of a cloud, which left us dancing in the street. Mr N was delighted with our efforts and may even say 'I want you back' in a few months. Sorry, I'll stop now. I can't help myself.
