Sunday 26th October
Report written by Redbridge runner
A beautiful autumn day, if a tad windy and chilly, saw James and Julia assemble at the station for some planting and watering. On arrival there was police and ambulance in attendance but might've been a false alarm as they left quickly!
This morning we planted out some bright primulas, cyclamens, violets and heather to spruce up the area and replace the summer flowers which are now succumbing to the cold weather. We also watered and refilled the planters under the bridge that were quite dry. Thankfully we had a nice downpour earlier in the week to soak the rest of planters and saving us a job!
Nice good feel task to start a Sunday off!
This is a resident and station led project to create a place that is lovely for locals to walk through with planters full of flowers and everygreens.
