Here's what Mr I of SW16 had to say about the mission:

The runners did an absolutely brilliant job and couldn't thank you enough. My parents can now sit out and enjoy their garden which means a lot.

Three awesome Goodgymmers!

Sarah, Daniel and Jordan forewent avocado on toast and spent Saturday morning helping tidy up Mr I's garden.

Some lovely Goodgymmers had previously cleared back the garden but unfortunately those stubborn weeds just wouldn't stay away.

So armed with tools, gloves and determination, we set out on round 2.

The plan was to de-weed the paving and cut back the foliage and weeds ready to lay down anti-weed membrane. We quickly began to see progress; clearing old fencing, hacking away at overgrown foliage and revealing paving not seen for a long time!

We also learnt that Jordan has no idea what the pancake race at the Olympics actually involves, Dan is seriously competitive and will probably hit 100 (currently on 70) deeds by Monday, and Sarah isn't sure if the American war of independence and the Revolution are the same thing.

After 2 hours, our job was done. Mr I now has a patio area he can put table chairs on. And with a bit of vision, the prepared soil beds can be landscaped and remain weed free with any luck!
