Mission

When I'm Cleaning Windows...

1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Liverpool.

Mr E was keen to have his windows cleaned as, following an accident, he can no longer manage on his own.

He explained how he had lost the use of his left hand, and how he had lost the confidence to leave his house to go shopping, or for a walk.

Mr E provided me with some cloths and, Ironically, a bottle of window cleaner called Blue Magic...as an Everton supporter, and having been to the Man City match the previous day, I said that we could have used some Blue Magic during the game ⚽️

I first tackled the outside and thought that I had done a good job...but the bright winter sun soon showed up the streaks and parts I'd missed 🤫 After a second attempt, I moved on to the inside, which, with a bit of elbow grease, were soon clear and clear.

Before, during and after the task, Mr E and I chatted about his health, the cost of living, and football.

He was very grateful for the help from GG, and was keen to hear all about our organisation.
