We completed a Community Mission tonight at the Ray Gray Community Centre in Walker, in the east end of Newcastle.

I had sourced this task a couple of weeks ago. The Centre were so desperate for help as they really struggle due to having only have 3 trustees and no other volunteers. They were very keen to make the outdoor space, user friendly again in order to host a Community BBQ.

I had arrived first, and was met by the treasurer, Carol who was so friendly and welcoming (offers of cups of tea, biscuits and making sure we had all the tools/equipment required throughout the evening)

Aimee, Paul, Anji and Paul (lots of Pauls!) came along to help and the effort/difference was AMAZING!! Just look at the before and after photos.

Carol was so appreciative of the help that we provided tonight.

The transformation at the end of the night was epic and we thoroughly enjoyed the task. Towards the end, I had multiple shouts from Aimee and Paul of "just one more weed to pull!"

I'm sure we will be back again soon!
