2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Sheffield.

2 Sheffield GoodGymers ran/walked (someone overexerted themselves at parkrun) to help out Mrs S. What a lovely day to do some gardening!

After a quick application of suncream, I tackled the overgrown ground around a rose bush, removing weeds and turning over the soil. Tom got stuck in straight away, giving the lawn a quick mow. This task was completed quite quickly, and he moved on to a much larger job - taming an unruly hedge. Having sorted the rose bush, I removed a section of invasive lily plants to stop them taking over Mrs S' other lovely flowers.

The garden soon looked neat and fresh, much to the delight of Mrs S, and we headed back home.
