We went to Ms L's house on Sunday to help her out with an over grown tree in her garden. A neighbour had complained about the tree so Ms L had to have it removed. Unfortunately she could not cut the tree down herself and her neighbour who usually helped her out with her garden could not help too.

When we arrived at the mission, Ms L provided us with saw, a wooden ladder and two hedge shears. We tried to use the tools however the tree was too tough to cut down. Sarah decided to go home and grab better saws and also an axe to help cut the tough tree. While Sarah was gone I used the saw Ms L gave us to try and cut down as much of the tree as possible.

Sarah came back with two fine toothed saws and a small axe which were both very helpful in our battle with the overgrown tree. The trunk which was causing the most havoc was leaning into a neighbour's garden. We had to ask another of Ms L's neighbours for help and he provided us with a rake to try and tame the wayward trunk. Unfortunately the trunk could not be tamed and the saws were useless against it. A second neighbour of Ms L offered us a bigger saw than the others we had, to help with the task. She also offered some advice on how to cut down the trees as she claimed to be an expert. Eventually we manged to cut at least 50 percent of the accessible tree.

It took us four saws and an axe to conquer the tree enabling us to help Ms L with her problem.
