Mission

We came, we mowed, we conquered!

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Bristol.

In the lovely August sunshine, Paul and I headed up the hill to Totterdown to Ms A's house. When we arrived, Ms A showed us her pretty garden and set us to work!

We cleared the lawn of fallen apples from the apple tree, as well as any other Flymo-hating obstructions (including a dead bird, ugh!). Paul then started mowing, and I tackled the weeds that were starting to break through the garden path.

After an hour or so of weeding and mowing, Ms A called us over for a quick hydration stop. Feeling refreshed, we set out for round two of tidying up the garden. Paul cut back some of next doors' trees, which were protruding into Ms A's garden and stopping her roses from growing properly. I carried on with weeding duty, making my way all the way down the path to the house.

The garden looked much better by the time we'd finished... hopefully Ms A's roses will be flourishing in no time!
