Water way to spend a Friday

Chris, Ken and Beth made their way to Buccleuch Gardens to water the newly planted donations from Petersham Nurseries and plant the last one - a lovely big Caenothus which has taken pride of place next to one of the benches. Chris set about digging a big hole in a dense spot - Beth remarked it looked like a tough job as she valiantly stood next to Chris doing all the work.

The underpass was full of water which made filling the watering cans an easy job. After many trips to and fro - with Ken ferrying trugs on his bike - The Three Pigeons, benches and arcade were watered.

More trips will be needed unless we get the rain promised - a good walking and carrying workout :)
