The sign-up numbers had dropped steadily in the run up to this morning's mission, as heavy rain was threatened. In the end 5 of us turned up, including Danya who was back for a visit after moving away.
Ken briefed us on the task, which was to tackle the ivy along one of the walls around the Star & Garter building. We needed to cut the ivy plants at their base to kill them off and prevent further damage to the brickwork.
Fortunately the rain largely held off and - armed with secateurs, loppers and pocket saws - we made quick work of the section of wall. We'll be back on site Monday evening for more tasks.
