After yesterday's sunrise/sunset runs, my legs struggled to get me and my bike to the top of the hill. Thank goodness for gears....

Mr M was in a positive mood, and handed me a list containing one or two festive fare items...and, of course, a cooked chicken.

I had received a call from Mr J, also requiring a festive fare top up...he lives between Mr M and Asda, so I was able to pick up his list on the way and do a tandem shop.

Asda was pretty crazy...queueing up for trolleys, queuing up to enter the store, no space for social distancing, no one way system, huge queues down every aisle, and tempers fraying all around.

However, everything on both lists was soon gathered in, and I was back on my way, and both Mr J and Mr M kindly presented me with a gift of chocolate!

Mr J had received a call from his sister, who is planning to deliver a Christmas dinner to him on Friday. Mr M will be preparing his own Christmas dinner, and both will be eating alone.

This has been a difficult year for so many. Let us hope that the New Year brings news of a return to some sort of normality soon.
