3 GoodGymers turned up for Old Alleynian's Rugby Club day of volunteering. Parents and their children along with other members of Rugby club came out for a day of "Summer Cleaning".

Abi and Sam met up with Ian, who helps out at the Rugby Club, but has been to two GoodGym events before. He gave us two sheers and directed us clear and trim back the hedges that were overgrowing onto the public pavement. Abi and Sam got stuck in with Abi (being taller) taking the longer sheers to cut down branches whilst Sam dealt with twigs...

Eventually, having been lost in a sea of volunteers, they saw Frances for the last 30 minutes of the volunteering. She decided to stay with them and finish off the job.

Ian kindly offered them to stay and enjoy the burgers and hot dogs they were cooking up on the grill for everyone who gave up 2 hours of their day to help, but we were all too busy to stick around. Next time!
