A lovely morning with a top notch team from Brompton Bikes.

Meeting up at Brompton HQ, before we hit our 5000-step/ 2km walk along the canal to the amazing Horsenden Hill Farm.

A cup of tea and hot water on arrival warmed us up for the task ahead.

We were guided down to the tree nursery by Ann from the friends of the Farm group. We tooled up and got to work!

Our task was to save the baby trees by planting them in perfect rows, so they are ready to go into the tree hedges come hedging season in October.

Splitting into 2 groups we grabbed 100 trees per group. We had the Wild Service trees going out in perfect couples, while the Iuliana mystery tree needed a deeper trench to get planted in a perfect long row!

75 minutes of graft, topped off with giving the 200 thirsty trees a good water and we had completed our task for the day.

Checking out an alternative loop back to HQ, with an idea of some lunchtime canal walks picking up another 5000 steps to round off a quality morning!

Thanks so much for coming along!
