50 up for Vinney!!

Hackney Report written by Joel Wiles

Wetting the Baby tree's heads to celebrate Vinney reaching 50 GoodGym GoodDeeds!!

Helping our friends at the Stoke Newington common user group who keep all the good stuff going strong on the common.

After our weeding efforts a few weeks ago the shrubs on the mound and baby trees were looking health but thirsty. so after grabbing the trolley and filling up 120 liters of water we hauled it first over to the mounds to water the shrubs then after a quick refill of the water over to the newly planted baby trees to keep them happy, healthy and hydrated!!

All complete we headed off to celebrate 50 GoodDeeds for the GG legend Vinney!!

Pushing through

Hackney Report written by Joel Wiles

4 GoodGymers moved 2 tonnes of mulch 500 metres to create a big section of pathway in the London fields conservation area.

Top workout had by all!! Especially Ruben who pushed the barrow with flat tyre fir most of the session.

Shoveling the mulch into the barrows by the South end of the park and marching the full barrows up to the Conservation area 500 metres up the road we got a lot of steps in!

Moving our pathway on a big chunk! So that the conservation area can be accessible all year round and stop park users going off path and harming the plants/ insects that live there.

75 minutes of effort and sweat was rolling! we smoothed the pathway into a smooth road before putting the tools away and heading on our ways with a job well done!!

See you next week!!
