The Grass is Always Greener on Mrs M's Side

1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Newham.

A welcome return to Mrs M's to do some lawn mowing on a sunny Saturday morning. Having her grass cut means that Mrs M is able to more safely access the rest of the garden, tend to her plants or sit out for a bit.

On hearing the mower, a relative of Mrs M's next door neighbour popped his head over the fence to ask about how I'd ended up undertaking this task and whether something similar could be arranged for the neighbour. I did, of course, take this as a compliment, and had already noticed that their grass was looking a bit wilder than Mrs M's, something I'd be keen to have a go at given the opportunity. They went on to explain that the neighbour (their relative) is currently in hospital and Mrs M keeps in touch with them regularly. Having explained the GoodGym connection, Mrs M said she'd pass on the details of the referrer. So, who knows, I may have cornered the market for voluntary lawn mowing in this particular part of Stratford.
