Miss A is no longer able to tend to her garden, so Age UK recruited the help of GoodGym to lend a hand. Today's task was to complete the job already started by another two GoodGym volunteers who had recently weeded and tidied most of the back garden.

Miss A explained which plants were to stay and what was to go - a mass of mint and weeds from one bed plus the ivy and virginia creeper, which was steadily advancing from the neighbour's garden. The little outdoor space at the front at basement level was also to be spruced up.

It was a glorious day to be outside, meeting resident cats and unidentified insects. A few shrubs and plants were given a trim too. Soon both outdoor spaces were looking much smarter and Miss A was grateful for the help.
