Early Morning Stag Do

🎡It was a hard mornings work and we were working with some logs🎢.

This mornings task, which followed the Bexley parkrun, was to assist the Friends of Danson Park in creating an environment for the nesting of stag beatles. This involved digging a number of holes and filling with logs and smaller branches. Hopefully the stag beetles will nest underneath this structure before emerging in seven years time. We managed to build five of these structures before the FODP called time and invited us for a coffee at Danson Stables. The FODP were a very friendly bunch and appreciated our efforts and we expect another invite in the future. The article in the recent Bexley Magazine prompted FODP to approach Goodgym for this task, so maybe further opportunities may arise from other community groups who have seen this article. Poppy wants to apologise to Martin for nicking his sandwich.
