Spoilt for choice on todays Mission Title 😁

The afternoon Dream Team was Judy on Carpark, Mel on Church Walkie Talkie and Sarah on Church to Car Park (which included Gazebo assistance..... and the afternoon's entertainment).

The morning shift had seen the arrival of a large truck from Denmark delivering a £2500 Marquee, the afternoon shift arrived to see the early stages of it being put together! Paul kindly stayed on past his shift to assist with putting it together, he was a very good pole sorter! Part of the afternoon shift saw a team of staff and volunteers "Heaving" on ropes to try and pull the cover over the metal framework. Cheers all around when this was finally achieved - no easy feat by any means and ropes that could literally slice through your hands. The end of the shift saw the local firefighters turning up to assist with attaching the canvas ends as our ladders were just not long enough!

The best news to come from this is that the Marquee will make a perfect "Yippee!!! the vaccination clinics are over after party" venue 🥳🥳🥳

Wilson left the shift early as having done the double was well and truely pooped - she had achieved 18,000 steps during both shifts! At least she didn't have to walk to ASDA to get her car - Sarah Wilson VIP don't you know!

Mel and Judy continued to have fun as the church closed and patients were moved to queue outside. Mel had a rather tall man start to bend over when she mentioned taking his temperature this evening on the back door. He saw the funny side and looked very relieved when she said she just needed his ear! Judy was watching from the queue and found it funny to hear Mel saying, "Where did you think I was going to put it?!" 😮

Great Report and Pun Sarah ;) I loved being back after my hiatus and seeing you, Judy, John, Andrea and Paul before swapping shifts.

Thankyou Mel - they were your words! I love it when we get to see each other - just a shame we don't always get to talk for very long. I am very excited by the idea of using the Marquee as a party venue for once vaccinations are finished!
