Here's what Mrs I of NW6 had to say about the mission:

They did very well, I'm so pleased with them, they've got hearts of gold. Please thank them very much. I understand that there's a slight problem in that the loo seat might go again but I intend to be very careful!

Mrs I of NW6, mission beneficiary

Michael and Gosia met up in Camden today with a mission to help Mrs sort out a couple of adjustments in her bathroom as she is not mobile enough to handle them herself.

The first task was to put up a towel rail on the door. That was a piece of cake. We quickly figured out how to set it up and mounted it in a very co-operative 'you-take-right-I-take-left' style using two screwdrivers kindly provided Mrs I. Of course, Michael later secretly checked Gosia's side of the rail to assess the quality of the job done (yes - she noticed!).

The second task was to reorient the toilet seat as the position was angled to side and uncomfortable to use. First, we loosened up the screws under the toilet to realign the sit. Then we tighten them up again; the position is now much better than it was before (so we fixed the initial problem) but we noticed that the sit is still a bit loose. Michael recommended that installing a steel wing bolts instead of the current plastic ones (which are quite old and damaged) will help to keep it more stable. He had a chat with Mrs I's nephew over a phone and suggested him to purchase some of these. Once available - we could arrange another GG visit to finish the job.

Mrs I was really pleased with the results and offered us a cup of tea before we go. She said that it was the first time she asked for GG help and also the first time ever she heard that it exists. We suggested her to think of any other tasks GG could help with. It was indeed a nice start of the week!
