Rebecca volunteered for the first timer briefing at parkrun. Guildford parkrun was cancelled so there was quite a crowd. However, there were no first timers who attended the brief. So Rebecca briefed James for a second time after last week, which turned out to be much needed as last week he forgot his barcode and ran into a bin! We lucked out with the weather as not too cold, no rain and wind. Even the muddy section of the run in the forest wasn't too bad. James would have got a 5k PB but his watch GPS was short at the end. Maybe because he started so far forward at the start line with the super speedy bunch. Rebecca joyfully crossed the line in sub 30 mins. All in all it was a worthwhile morning spent contributing towards the running of parkrun, being part of the community and inspiring runners.
