Step Up 2 The Street

Graham and I were back in action for some vaccine volunteering on Saturday - Barts NHS' venue at the ExCeL has now closed and they've moved to an all new location at the Stratford Westfield shopping centre. We arrived in time for a quick induction that gave us a tour of the centre and explanation of the different roles required to check eligibility and guide people on their way through. One of the main things was to check that people were at the right place as North West London NHS has a centre approximately 100 meters away at another Westfield unit, known as "Westfield", whereas this one is know as "Westfield The Street". Has a certain urban vibe to it I think and led us to imagine dance battles between the competing volunteer teams. Barts may have an advantage given the long postponed "flash mob dance" that we've all been practising for - this could be just the opportunity. Look forward to that, or otherwise further Westfield shifts in the coming weeks and months.
