8 Runners ran to 1.7k to a Community Garden, watered plants, oiled plant beds and weeded. Then ran back

As we now begin to start sessions in the dark, our tasks and runs have a more gritty, clandestine feel to them. Reminds of the GoodGym video I saw yesterday. Pretty epic stuff.

After a little natter at base, we headed out for a warm up. It momentarily seemed as if the sun had forgot its timetable and had risen again. Fortunately it was just Justin's head torch, with the power of a billion candles, was something to behold.

Big respect to Alice and Justin who got PB's over the weekend at a Parkrun and a Half Marathon respectively. Progress feels good, doesn't it?! Also Hin's new flashy shoes...they look like they're itching to log some miles! Who will the next PB fall to...maybe a tenacious effort on the 5th at Alexandra Palace will decide.

Once we glided over to Mobile Garden City (Abbey Gardens cancelled!), instruction were read and the team got cracking straight away. #1 Watering Hops that we planted a couple months back #2 oiling plant beds to extend their lives #3 weeding the stubborn growth around some of the plant beds. 25mins later and the jobs a good 'un. Not very exhausting this week but still very worthwhile work. Gabby (task owner) can't stop praising your consistency and hard-work. We grabbed our fresh organic salad and veg that Gabby routinely leaves for us (that reminds me, must take it out of my bag). I googled Red Lettuce guys, apparently - it's a thing. So that's that sorted.

We finished our Wednesday good deeds with a little circuit. Full body, but not too tough for you hardened night time heroes. A shake over to the Aquatics Centre. Some of us decided to go and have an impromptu beer and pizza, some of us misdirected others (oops). Yes Rodrigo...you were right!! Siobhan and Justin even partook in an extra and random good deed to finish, helping random blokes carry quite a lot of timber. Positive vibes and a cracking evening.

Until next week guys. Back to our Community garden from scratch job at Boleyn Rd. More hands needed for this one please!
